Very sad sale- priced sensibly to sell but will only be sold to knowledgeable, experienced rider as too talented to be wasted. (Ongoing rider injury and pregnancy)
7yo mare, super bold and careful fun jumping horse. Annie is a sweet natured kind and genuine mare with bags of ability over a fence. No novices please- decent rider and set up for this decent horse please.
Lynwood Fine Art, Annie, as she is known to us has great eventing breeding being by Future Gravitas x Granfenstolz and G/ SJ Sire Kenzo on Dam side.
5th in first ever ODE at Aston DC in the time (90cm) (2020)
Competed 2020 Arena eventing /ODE'S/ local SJ/ around 90cm/1m. Has won several comps, her first ever AE years ago as 4yo!! and 90cm AE Dallas Dec 2020. Easy to take out to shows/lorry/trailer from day one. Very affectionate mare that is a yard favourite. Unexpected and sadly ongoing rider injury forced her, along with my other competition horses, to take an unplanned break in the field (March-Aug 2021) at the stud last year. Brought back into light work Sept last year by relatively inexperienced rider with good help no problem with the hope I would improve, has now been ridden by my more experienced partner for a few months but sadly I have not recovered which has forced the heart breaking decision to sell yet another one of our lovely home bred horses that I have produced myself and had high hopes of taking up the eventing levels to Intermediate and SJ levels.
She excels as a jumping horse that gives you a scopey easy feeling over the fence. Easy to take out on the lorry from day one. Currently jumping 90-1.05m at home regularly but has trained at over 1.15-1.20m in 2020 with myself at end of season as a 5yo. She can be a little fussy on the flat in the contact, which improves with schooling and correct riding- has never been a problem for the eventing dressage. She has a decent clean flying change each way when jumping and is well balanced. She is being sold as an eventer/SJ/all rounder and would not suit pure dressage as it would be a waste of her exceptionally fun and careful jump and she would get too tense and very bored!
Good to hack around farm with the sheep/do gates/ open spaces alone or in company, okay with sensible traffic but village where she has hacked is busy so always took her in company. Not a problem for an experienced rider at all- she wouldn’t like a big lorry or tractor coming flat out towards her for example and would probably spin around but if you sit up and keep your leg on she would then carry on walking fine! She just lacks the hacking experience with fast/big/noisy traffic so would benefit from a good nanny for a while if this is something you need/want to do. She is fine around a quiet village etc.
Will make ideal competitive young riders horse/competent amateurs horse to have fun up the levels and be in the placings. Hasn't been over competed due to rider injury last year but has been there and done everything many times and is fit and ready to take out competing now at BE90 (will quickly progress BE100 /Novice with the right rider and training) She's been to a few arena hires SJ recently and has jumped around our xc jumps etc.
Very willing and bold but has a bit about her and is a fun forwards thinking bright little competition mare that makes you smile every time you jump her. Will suit a home that has the experience and knowledge to campaign her and continue her education. Serious enquiries only. No vices. Good to do everything with, excellent to handle at home and out at a show. No long texts, calls only please. Please see Lynwood Stud website sales page for more photos/videos of her competing etc
