LENONCOURT, Meurthe-et-Moselle GRAND EST 15 mins from NANCY Vend Château de Lenoncourt dating from the 13th century, listed as a Historic Monument.

Set in the heart of lush greenery, Château de Lenoncourt stands proudly on 11 hectares, offering a haven of peace in the middle of woods and meadows, just 12 km from Nancy. This historic monument welcomes you through an imposing wrought-iron gate, guarded by two renovated caretaker's cottages that are currently rented out.

The tree-lined driveway leads up to the château, which is surrounded at the back by a moat underlining its fortress-like appearance. Built in the 13th century by Ferri III, Duke of Lorraine, this estate has survived the ages, undergoing transformations throughout the 16th, 17th and 19th centuries, bearing witness to the rich history of the region.

The château has a potential living area of around 1,400 m2. The majestic entrance is framed by pilasters and crowned by the sculpture of a bearded head, introducing the grand staircase with its finely sculpted cast-iron baluster banister.

On the ground floor of the left wing, dating from the 16th century, you will find a spacious, vaulted kitchen, equipped with an old bread oven and dominated by a monumental fireplace, as well as a historic guard room, adorned with arched benches and a loophole, vaulted dining rooms and a study.

The south wing, on the 17th century ground floor, offers a different atmosphere, with its rooms featuring French ceilings, including a large dining room with a monumental fireplace, a second dining room, three bedrooms and a rustic kitchen with a water stone.

The first floor of the late 18th/early 19th century chateau houses sumptuous bedrooms and grandiose reception rooms, featuring a corridor of hunting galleries, a 98 m² (969 sq ft) lounge adorned with wainscoting, mouldings and cherubs representing the four seasons and a décor consisting of door overmantels with medallions inscribed with the letters L.M for Lezay Marnésia, the family that took part in the renovations undertaken on the property in 1867, as well as a second 60 m² (646 sq ft) lounge with paintings and a former smoking room to the rear. The rear facade of the château reveals its medieval side.

The oak parquet floors are laid out in a pattern of squares and Versailles. The paintings, silent witnesses to the eras through which the château has passed, are an integral part of the sale. These works enrich the soul of the castle!

The attics that could be converted and the utility rooms occupy the entire second floor, and the two turrets offer spacious rooms that could be converted.

The parklands include a ruined sheepfold on a building plot of approx. 3,000 m2, a crenellated tower that is a vestige of the medieval castle and has been converted into a dovecote, a listed historic monument, a former farmhouse converted into a storage area with outbuildings, a garage and an uninhabited 82 m² dwelling.

The property is bordered by approx. 10 ha (32 acres) of forest and open grasslands, giving it a peaceful, pastoral atmosphere. The roofs of the château and turrets have been completely renovated, ensuring the longevity of this exceptional property.
