Ignis – Barok Pinto – Gelding – 8 years old – 157cm
I am reluctantly selling my horse for health reasons.
Ignis is a horse with a strong character, who needs a clear, consistent and calm approach when handled on foot. He may tend to test new people who look after him and therefore requires someone who is comfortable around horses. Once the framework is established and boundaries set, he proves to be very respectful and cooperative.
Respect for personal space remains an important aspect to maintain during handling.
However, he allows himself to be handled perfectly well by the vet, the osteopath, the farrier or the dentist.
He may, at first, come across as a little dominant in his interactions with other horses, without, however, being aggressive or nasty. He is perfectly capable of living in a group and finds his place within a herd.
When ridden, he is very respectful.
He has gained a good deal of experience in work, is willing, loves to learn and particularly enjoys being given varied work that makes him think.
He has a good foundation and continues to make progress with enthusiasm. However, he is a horse with a strong character and requires a rider with some experience: he is not suitable for a child just starting out or a completely novice rider.
He is well-balanced on the flat, with a solid foundation in dressage.
He also has experience over jumps and has already jumped up to 1 metre. He approaches obstacles with seriousness and willingness.
He has competed in several shows up to 80 cm.
He has already completed one or two cross-country courses.
He goes out for rides alone or accompanied. He remains a little wary on unfamiliar paths or when large vehicles pass by at high speed.
He gets into the horsebox without difficulty but likes to have company during the journey.
He is a horse who still has potential and who will be able to continue to develop with an experienced rider and regular training.
Ignis is up to date with his vaccinations and dental check-ups. His last check-up was in June 2026.
He is also seen regularly by an osteopath, at least twice a year, and has his hooves trimmed every 6 to 8 weeks.
He is in very good musculoskeletal health.
However, he has suffered from gastric ulcers in the past, which were managed and treated. He is well today and no longer has any particular problems in this regard.
This experience has, however, confirmed the importance, for him, of an appropriate dietary regime, with very regular access to forage. This is therefore a key aspect of his living conditions: I am looking for a home for him where he will have an abundant supply of roughage – ideally available at will – so that he can eat regularly throughout the day.
For me, this is an essential condition for his sale, as his wellbeing and the prevention of a relapse depend above all on a suitable diet and careful management.
Furthermore, outdoor living is also an essential criterion for me. Ignis needs to be able to spend as much time as possible outdoors in order to maintain his balance, wellbeing and stability in daily life.
He currently spends his days outdoors (in a meadow or winter paddock) and is stabled at night. He does not wear a rug under these conditions, even in winter.
I would prefer someone who can genuinely guarantee these conditions (outdoor living, living in a herd and unlimited access to forage) in the long term.
Ignis can currently be viewed at a stable in Walloon Brabant.
For further information, to receive more photos or videos, or to arrange a meeting with Ignis, please do not hesitate to contact me on or at
I’ll prioritise contact with people who are genuinely interested, so that we can discuss his temperament, his needs and his future living environment.
Ignis is an endearing and spirited horse.
He is a horse with whom a genuine bond can be formed, and who still has a great deal to offer and to learn. He now deserves someone who will understand him, respect his needs and provide him with a stable and suitable home.
I am not simply looking for a new home for Ignis, but for the right person for him

Ignis  - Barok Pinto - Hongre-  8 ans- 157cm

Sale a pasear solo o acompañado.

Ignis – Barok Pinto – Wallach – 8 Jahre – 157 cm

Ignis - Barok Pinto - Castrone - 8 anni - 157 cm

Ignis - Barok Pinto - Ruin - 8 jaar - 157 cm
