Dressage horse for sale – Lusitano/Warmblood gelding 2022 – Jovian x Spartacus – Amateur / potential for competition
Suspense de St Jean is a 2022-born Lusitano/Warmblood gelding, standing approximately 1.64/1.65 m, with a modern, harmonious conformation and excellent aptitude for dressage.
He is by the highly impressive Jovian (Apache x Tango), an iconic figure in modern dressage who has competed at the very highest level, renowned for his exceptional canter, power and ability to collect.
Jovian boasts an incredible track record:
- World Champion for 7-year-olds in 2021
- World Champion for 5-year-olds in 2019 with four scores of 10
- Winner of the Dressage Grand Prix in 2022 at Hagen and Aalborg
In 2023: European Team Vice-Champion, winner of the Grand Prix and PSG in Aalborg, and third in the Grand Prix at Riesenbeck.
Suspense naturally inherits these qualities, notably a highly expressive gait and remarkable balance.
His dam’s line, sired by Spartacus, contributes strength, a strong temperament and consistency in training. This genetic combination offers an interesting balance between performance, ease of movement and learnability – qualities particularly sought after in horses intended for use in an ambitious amateur setting or in competitive sport.
With a balanced, willing and spirited temperament, Suspense offers a riding experience that is both enjoyable and promising. A great pleasure to ride, he stands out in particular for his exceptional canter – a real highlight of his conformation – as well as for his well-judged sensitivity and willingness.
In training, he has a solid foundation and shows great aptitude for learning, picking things up quickly and with dedication. Although still young, he already displays excellent natural balance and shows promising sporting potential for the rest of his training.
He represents an excellent opportunity for a rider wishing to train a high-quality young horse with great potential.
