An elegant 5-year-old chestnut SBS gelding (born in 2021), standing around 1.78 m tall, this young sport horse is currently coming out of breaking-in and starting to build his sporting career in a structured, professional environment.
Portofino de la Comogne is bred by For Ferrero, a stallion renowned for his dressage ability, strength and movement. His dam, Ivresse (SBS), is a direct daughter of the famous Weltmeyer (Hanoverian, DEU), the world-renowned head of the breed who transmits power, amplitude, expressive locomotion and a dressage-oriented mind.
This genetics is clearly reflected in her model and her performance.
Endowed with a modern, powerful model, with size, bone and a true sporting orientation, he presents three ample gaits, with energy and an expressive locomotion. His functional physique and natural presence suggest real dressage potential.
Having recently come through the breaking-in phase, he is currently consolidating his grounding. He is working with a professional to establish a clear framework, stabilise his movement and guide him serenely through his first steps in the saddle.
He is a sensitive horse with fine aids, requiring tact and consistency. He therefore needs a calm, experienced rider capable of guiding him correctly as he progresses.
Under saddle, he already shows responsiveness, quality of locomotion and an interesting potential for balance for his age and stage of work.
Given his model, pedigree and potential, this gelding will suit an experienced or professional rider wishing to invest in a young horse coming out of breaking-in, to be built up with method and a sporting vision.
A quality horse, powerful and promising, destined for a supervised, well thought-out project that respects the way he works.
