Vaillant est un poney très attachant mais à son petit caractère, c'est un poney atypique qui aura besoins d'un cavalier qui sache le comprendre, poney dans le sang, ne regarde rien, régulièrement sans fautes, poney qui, avec une bonne entente donnera tout pour son cavalier,  ballade, tonte et transport OK.
